Letter to the Sea
I won’t beg you to leave me alone; it was me who chased you. As I write these lines, we are in our final quarrel and as usual, it’s you who is going to have the last word, and I won’t try and be right. My ego is intact, safely hidden away.
Dear ocean, we’ve been together for four months now, and I already have to leave you. I haven’t even left, and I’m already making you promises. I give you my word that we’ll find each other again. I have appreciated every moment that I’ve spent in your company, even the most difficult ones because they woke me up. You allowed me to know, surpass and surprise myself, and most importantly, to be humble. For each of those treasures, I thank you.
