On November 12th, 2013, Mylène Paquette became the first person from the American continent to row solo across the North Atlantic ocean. 129 days at sea between Halifax, Canada, and the town of Lorient, France.

This challenge was not a simple accomplishment by any means and took years of preparation. Indeed, during 45 of her first 60 days at sea, the weather and navigation conditions were so bad that Mylene was forced to stay inside her cabin or immobilize the her boat with a parachute anchor in order to maintain a safe position.

In her conferences, Mylène takes participants on a journey where they can discover the hurdles and difficulties she faced in a positive way; she invites people to take the initiative and solve these various challenges with creativity. In order to successfully realize her odyssey at sea, Mylène founded her own company and assembled a multidisciplinary support team. Mylène believes there are real, relevant analogies between the running of an organization and the realization of an trans-Atlantic expedition.
